Privacy Policy for HCF App, Driver App, and Plant App

This privacy policy applies to the suite of biomedical waste management apps developed by Agile Tech Solutions Pvt. Ltd.:

HCF App – For Healthcare Facilities generating biomedical waste
Driver App – For transport and collection of biomedical waste
Plant App – For waste treatment and disposal units

These apps are built to ensure secure, compliant, and environmentally responsible handling of biomedical waste. No personal images are captured; camera access is used strictly for QR code scanning.

1. HCF App – Privacy Overview

Purpose: Allows healthcare facilities to register waste, generate QR codes, and maintain compliance records.

Data Collected:

Facility and waste data (volume, category, type)
Scanned QR codes for tagging waste bags
Internal tracking data (facility ID)

Permissions Used:

Permission	Purpose
INTERNET	Sync records to backend servers
CAMERA	Scan QR codes attached to waste bags (not used for capturing photos)

2. Driver App – Privacy Overview

Purpose: The Driver App helps authorized waste-collection drivers scan and verify waste bags, record pickups/deliveries, and transmit location data for route mapping on the organization's monitoring website. Background location is used only for operational route tracking and compliance.

Data Collected:

Live location data – Used to map the driver’s route in real time while transporting biomedical waste (displayed on the admin website).
QR code scan data – Used to verify collected waste bags and attach them to pickups/delivery records.
Driver identification – For internal operational use only (login/session association).

Important: Location tracking and background updates occur only while the driver is logged in and actively on duty. When the driver logs out, the app immediately stops background location tracking, stops the foreground location service, and no further location is sent to the server.

Permissions Used (Driver App)

Permission	Purpose
ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION / ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION	Obtain accurate GPS location during active waste collection and transport (used for pickup verification and live routing).
ACCESS_BACKGROUND_LOCATION	Allows the app to continue updating location while the app is in the background or the screen is off. Used only when the driver is logged in and transporting waste to provide continuous route mapping on the admin website and to meet regulatory traceability requirements.
FOREGROUND_SERVICE_LOCATION	Required for Android 10+ / Android 14+ to run a foreground service that provides reliable continuous GPS updates with a visible notification ("Location tracking active"). The service is stopped on logout.
CAMERA	Used only to scan QR codes on waste bags. No photos or videos are captured or stored.
INTERNET	Upload driver routes, pickup/delivery logs, and QR scan data securely to the backend server for reporting and route mapping on the website.
POST_NOTIFICATIONS	Deliver operational notifications such as pickup confirmations, route updates, or urgent alerts. Notifications are not used for marketing or advertising.

Logout Behavior (explicit):
When the driver logs out, the app immediately:

Stops collecting location data (foreground & background)
Stops and removes the foreground location service notification
Ceases sending any further location updates to the server

The app will not track the driver outside working hours.

3. Plant App – Privacy Overview

Purpose: Enables waste treatment plants to verify incoming waste and record processing steps using scanned data.

Data Collected:

Waste batch details (via QR scan)
Processing and treatment logs
Facility and source tracking via QR codes

Permissions Used:

CAMERA	Scan QR codes for waste verification (no photo capture)

4. Data Security & Protection

All app data is transmitted securely over HTTPS encryption.
QR code scan data is used strictly for internal operational tracking and compliance.
None of the apps use your camera to take or store personal photos or videos.
No data is sold, shared with third parties, or used for marketing or advertising.

5. Data Deletion & User Rights

Users or authorized organizations may request deletion of their records, driver sessions, or transport logs by contacting Agile Tech Solutions. Requests will be handled in compliance with applicable privacy laws and operational standards.
